The Gippsland Trades and Labour Council is dedicated to helping our community. Our Community Project officer is out in the community finding the gaps in services and trying to assist in linking people and services together to help create a stronger community. If you want to contact our Community Project officer, please contact on 0407 064 742 or [email protected]
We also offer the Cup of Hospitality course—an excellent program that provides participants with a thorough introduction to the hospitality industry. This course equips attendees with essential qualifications in First Aid, Food Safety, Barista Skills, and Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA), all tailored to enhance their employability in the field. Our last course was in September but we hope to run more in the future.
The Peoples Kitchen
The team from GTLC, Chelsea, Tammy, and Janine who are all ASU Private members along with Darryn Snell (NTEU) and Rupert Stephenson (IEUVT) volunteered in the people's kitchen in Morwell. This initiative helps to feed those who are doing it tough across the Valley. It was a great day where we managed to cook 110 meals while having fun as a team
